Nowhere say is this a standalone app, how to start it, install addon, and where to find it (except on google :P)?

All the filezilla help pages are very shallow, with many lists of options but rarely any explanation of them, so an inexperienced user is none the wiser as to what the choices do or what the terminology means.

Some systematic explanatory help for lay people would make it possible for all users to use the software, and to know if there is a genuine problem when it doesn't work.

Adoro filezilla e foram utilizá-lo por anos! Seria realmente útil para permitir que os usuários colocar Quicklinks aos sites, em vez de ter de abrir o gerente do caixa. Eu realmente um salto em torno de alguns sites FTP um pouco e seria realmente fazer as coisas mais eficiente eu poderia colocar Quicklinks a esses sites algures na barra de ferramentas. We currently use Filezilla to upload documents to an enterprise management system. Is there a way that we can upload to a secondary server at the same time?

I think these examples are backwards?

Example (32bit): cd "\Program Files\Filezilla FTP Client"<br>
Example (64bit): cd "\Program Files (x86)\FileZilla FTP Client" 

On my Windows 7 64bit, I think the 32-bit progs are in Program Files (x86). So shouldn't it be:

Example (32bit): cd "\Program Files (x86)\Filezilla FTP Client"<br>
Example (64bit): cd "\Program Files\FileZilla FTP Client"

== Directory Comparison ==

I find the Directory Comparison option unusable because, even after uploading a file to the server, it never exactly matches the local file either in size or modified time.
I know my server is in a different time zone, but the difference is never exactly 1 hour. Presumably the server is changing the modified time to the moment it accepted the file, rather than keeping the time which came with it.
The size of the uploaded file usually seems to be smaller by a few tens or hundreds of bytes than the local file.
Has anyone else observed this? Or are there settings which might resolve it?

Hi, I am transferring data files that have trailing blanks.  Filezilla truncates them.  Is there way to preserve them?  I tried commands "SITETRAIL" and "TRAIL", and neither was recognized.  Thanks!
