You're seeing thngis, methinx. Ace made that cut perfectly. Cut it a bit off the  direction of fall so it wouldn't pop, then left enough holding wood so that he could break it off, and swing it in and away from the wires. Personally, I'd have used a top handled saw and had one hand on the limb for security while cutting up the hinge or used a sling to hang the limb, then cut off the short butt that the sling was on. But that would have shock loaded the top some with that fair sized limb.

You're seeing thngis, methinx. Ace made that cut perfectly. Cut it a bit off the direction of fall so it wouldn't pop, then left enough holding wood so that he could break it off, and swing it in and away from the wires. Personally, I'd have used a top handled saw and had one hand on the limb for security while cutting up the hinge or used a sling to hang the limb, then cut off the short butt that the sling was on. But that would have shock loaded the top some with that fair sized limb.
