Here's what you do. You say you are not getting a good eonugh picture when the flash is off. Well, that is because there isn't eonugh light. Try putting it in a place where the sun is shining through a window. Also you cannot hold the camera in your hands if you turn the flash off, you will get a blurry picture. Put the camera on a tripod or set it on something, turn the flash off, and use the timer function so you don't shake the camera when it takes the picture.
