FileZilla is a program for transferring files from so-called FTP servers. If you encounter an Internet link which starts with ftp:// instead of http://, the file will be fetched from an FTP server. In contrast to usual web browsers, FileZilla doesn't only offer you the possibility to download files, it offers you to upload, rename and manage files and while directory trees as well.
