Small suggestions:

  • Use proper wiki formatting for the sections
  • Use .png as image file format for the screenshots, .jpg is of bad quality and looks horrible.

Translations

Would be cool to add a section for translations (I've seen a few) so people that need a quick guide to present to non-technical coworkers who don't understand english are not marginalized. :-) -- Cholo <anicholo /\at/\ gmail.com> 200.16.16.13 19:42, 15 February 2008 (CET)

Help for laypeople

All the filezilla help pages are very shallow, with many lists of options but rarely any explanation of them, so an inexperienced user is none the wiser as to what the choices do or what the terminology means.

Some systematic explanatory help for lay people would make it possible for all users to use the software, and to know if there is a genuine problem when it doesn't work.

Shortcut

I love filezilla and have been using it for years! It would be really useful to allow users to put quicklinks to sites, rather than have to open up the site manager box. I actually jump around a few ftp sites quite a bit and it would really make things more efficient I could put quicklinks to those sites somewhere on the toolbar. Even better is if I could put quicklinks on my desktop that would automatically launch filezilla and log on to the specific ftp site.
