Timeouts are great, but I don't frown down on a good spanking. You have to be cafruel because spanking can also back fire and cause your children to hit even more. However, it can curb the behavior as well. So when she gets frustrated and hits, then give her a firm spank on the hand along with some explanation that this behavior isn't acceptable. Works best with a strong, firm voice.16 months is a bit young, so be sure to adjust how you think. might be best. I just see a lot of parents that want to go to this  no whoopin  zone of parenting and it isn't always effective. Might be the reason we have so many disrespectful kids in this world. One thing I cannot stand is a disrespectful kid. They all need to come live with us for about 2 weeks, we will set them straight, but there is strong discipline in our home. Always have been and always will be.good luck .your little one may just grow out of hitting as well.Freddie @ Invest With Passion recently posted..
