By now - Feb. 2010 - there is a filezilla server setting for SFTP. But i cannot get it to work. Connection attempts with sftp-Clients from various Linux-Distributions are rejected. Any development on this?

Is the Filezilla Server open source as well?  I'm looking to add a couple of features, noticeably the ability of logging when a file transfer(s) to the server has been completed, so that an action may be triggered by it (for example, an email is sent or a MySQL database entry is made).

A more generic solution would be to use the syslog protocol, this would allow the syslog server to direct messages as needed as well as providing a standardized critical/err/notice/info/debug  ... classification. There are syslog servers that support MySQL logging.

I look forward to anyone's comment on this.
