FileZilla Client 2.x

The source code for the FileZilla Client is available through the files section on Sourceforge.

FileZilla Client 3

FileZilla 3 has been released. Please understand that version 3 is not a full upgrade to version 2. A number of features have not yet been implemented such as:

  • Upload as...
  • edit-local-file menu
  • no auto-refresh of the local directory when you update a file
  • no special symlink icon
  • the View menu (especially refresh (use F5))
  • etc.

If those features are important to you, you may want to consider version 2.2.32

The previous beta versions are available here. Nightly development builds are also available over at the FileZilla development pages. Builds are available for

  • Windows ("i586-mingw32msvc"),
  • GNU/Linux ("i586-linux-gnu"),
  • Mac OS X ("i686-apple-darwin8" and "powerpc-apple-darwin8"),
  • FreeBSD ("i386-pc-freebsd5.4"). (only through beta4)

For all other platforms, it can be built from source. Expect it to have bugs and lack functionality.

FileZilla Server

The source code for the FileZilla Server is available through Sourceforge.net's CVS system.
