MLA is the entire famrot for writing a paper. It is the most widely accepted famrot in colleges today.  This style stresses the mechanics of writing, such as punctuation, quotation, and documentation of sources. One source you might look into is the  MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers .  Another is  MLA Style Manual and Guide to Scholarly Publishing .  If you are going to be writing any sort of research paper.. and you KNOW you will.. you will want to become very familiar with MLA.  Good luck.
